# Owner Leads

Property owners looking for a manager, not renters

In property management, an owner lead is an inquiry from a property owner looking for someone to manage a rental home, a small multifamily building or a portfolio, as opposed to a renter lead from someone looking for a place to live. Owner leads are what add doors under management, so they are the leads a management company's own marketing exists to win.

## Why do owner leads matter for a property management company?

Because renter demand fills the units a company already manages, and owner demand is how it grows. Many management company websites are built almost entirely for renters, with listings and an application link up front, and leave the owner with a single services page. That site serves residents well and wins few new owners.

For example, an owner with two rental houses searches for property management in their city, lands on a manager's home page, and sees available rentals, a resident login and a pay rent button. The owner has to look for what the company charges for, what it handles and who to call. A site with a clear path for owners, with pages for each property type and area, an explanation of services and a way to request a rental analysis, gives that visitor somewhere to go.

## How do you generate more owner leads?

1. **Give owners their own path.** A clear menu item and pages written for owners, separate from the renter path.
2. **Write a page per property type and area.** Single-family homes, small multifamily, condos, and each area you manage in.
3. **Answer the owner's questions.** What you handle, how you report, how you screen tenants, and how fees work, in plain words.
4. **Make the ask simple.** A short form for a rental analysis or a call, on every owner page.
5. **Show up where owners search.** Your Google Business Profile, local directories and the questions owners ask AI assistants.
