# Atlanta Web Design, Website Development and SEO

Plus AI search, Google Ads and local SEO for each city you serve

Kihan Marketing is a digital marketing agency. We handle SEO, web design and development, AI search, Google and Meta Ads, local SEO and social media for businesses in Atlanta and its suburbs, from Cobb to Gwinnett. Our specialty is marketing for med spas and healthcare practices.

Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb and Gwinnett counties take in more than 40 cities, plus large areas that belong to no city at all. We build your pages, profile and ads around the places you actually serve, and every account stays in your name.

## SEO services for Atlanta businesses

[SEO](https://kihanmarketing.com/services/seo/) for an Atlanta business rests on pages, one for each service and one for each place you serve, backed by technical SEO, schema markup, content and link building.

The place names need care here. Buckhead is not a city: it is part of Atlanta, where the city lists neighborhoods such as Buckhead Village and North Buckhead. Brookhaven is a city in DeKalb County, yet the City of Atlanta also lists a Brookhaven neighborhood of its own. Each page has to make clear which place it means.

- Technical SEO and site audits
- Schema markup
- Content that answers real questions
- Link building
- Pages for each community you serve
- Search Console set up in your name

## Website design and development in Atlanta

We design and build [websites](https://kihanmarketing.com/services/web-development/) on WordPress or Next.js, with custom code where a site needs it, and we take on redesigns, speed work and maintenance.

Our [ADA compliance](https://kihanmarketing.com/services/web-development/#ada-compliance) work tests a site against WCAG 2.2 at level AA with a keyboard, a screen reader and automated checks. We fix what fails, such as contrast, image descriptions, headings and form labels, then test again. We use no overlay widgets, and the work is technical, not legal advice.

Georgia requires a state license for electrical contractors, master plumbers and HVAC contractors, which its law calls conditioned air contractors. Each license comes from a division of the State Construction Industry Licensing Board. On a trade contractor’s site we put that license number on every service page, not only in the footer.

- New websites and redesigns
- WordPress development
- Next.js, React and custom code
- ADA compliance (WCAG 2.2 AA)
- Speed work and maintenance

## AI search, ads, local and social in Atlanta

### AI search

We work to get your business named in Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) are both names for this work.

Google says its AI features need no special markup, only pages it can index and show with a snippet. Its tips include keeping your Business Profile up to date. Our pages answer, in words an assistant can quote, the questions Atlanta customers ask. Do you come out to Gwinnett, or stay inside the city? Who performs the laser treatment, and what Georgia license do they hold?

### Google and Meta Ads

We run pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns on [Google Ads](https://kihanmarketing.com/services/paid-ads/), and paid social on Facebook and Instagram. We can build TikTok and LinkedIn campaigns when they fit.

Only about one in twelve metro Atlanta residents lives in the City of Atlanta, so a campaign aimed at the city alone misses most of the market. We build campaigns around the counties you serve, such as Fulton, Gwinnett and Cobb. Each campaign is set to reach people in those counties or regularly there, not everyone who has shown an interest in Atlanta.

### Local SEO

We run [local SEO](https://kihanmarketing.com/services/local-seo/) and the Google Business Profile behind it: categories, services, hours, photos and a weekly review process.

A Marietta company that also works in Gwinnett adds the county as a service area. A profile can list up to 20. Google’s guidelines rule out a second profile at a Lawrenceville virtual office, and a city added to the business name. Severe weather reaches the city core too: in March 2008 a tornado cut a six-mile path from downtown Atlanta into DeKalb County. For a closure of six days or less, set special hours. For a longer one, mark the profile temporarily closed.

### Social media

We manage [social media](https://kihanmarketing.com/services/social-media/) on an Atlanta calendar: the Dogwood Festival each April, the Atlanta Jazz Festival over Memorial Day weekend and the Peachtree Road Race on July 4.

Our [brand design](https://kihanmarketing.com/services/brand-design/) work gives those posts one consistent look: a logo, an identity, brand guidelines and the graphics your ads reuse.

## How metro Atlanta splits local search

Metro Atlanta search splits along county lines and city limits: Fulton is almost all cities, while most people in Gwinnett, Cobb and DeKalb live outside any city. Those four counties hold more than half the metro’s people, so how each is organized decides which place names a business should use.

1. **One city, two counties.** About 486,000 people in the City of Atlanta live in Fulton County and about 43,000 in DeKalb. Around it, Sandy Springs and Johns Creek in Fulton, and Brookhaven and Decatur in DeKalb, are separate cities.
2. **Most Gwinnett residents live in no city at all.** Most people in Gwinnett, Cobb and DeKalb live outside any city limits. In Fulton almost everyone lives in a city. So in Gwinnett and Cobb, name your service areas by county and community, not only by cities such as Lawrenceville or Marietta.
3. **Cobb and Gwinnett do not touch.** Google weighs how far a business is from the person searching, and Cobb and Gwinnett share no border. So a Marietta business has a harder time showing up for a search made in Peachtree Corners, even though both are metro Atlanta. Each side of the metro you serve needs its own page.

### Metro Atlanta in numbers

- **6.48M** people in the 29-county Atlanta metro in 2025, by Census Bureau estimate
- **240+** neighborhoods inside the City of Atlanta, grouped into 25 planning units
- **70%** of Gwinnett County residents live outside any city limits, by 2025 Census Bureau estimate
- **54%** of households in the City of Atlanta rent their home, against about a third metro-wide

## What Georgia law asks of med spas, roofers, landlords and brokers

Each of these four answers to a Georgia rule of its own. A practitioner advertising law covers med spas and clinics, and an insurance claim rule covers roofers. Landlords work under the 2024 Safe at Home Act, and brokerages under a Real Estate Commission rule. We write every page, ad and post with those rules in hand.

### Med spa and healthcare SEO

Our SEO, Google Ads and booking pages for Atlanta med spas name each practitioner and license type, as Georgia section 43-1-33 requires.

Under section 43-1-33, an ad by a physician, physician assistant, nurse or other covered practitioner must include their name and disclose only the type of license they practice under. The law defines an ad as any printed, electronic or verbal statement that names the practitioner or the practice, so a provider bio or a post can count too.

Georgia licenses the people who do cosmetic laser work such as hair removal and photo rejuvenation. The Composite Medical Board issues senior and assistant laser practitioner licenses, though physicians and some other licensees working within their own license are exempt. A treatment page should say who performs the work.

The Northside, Piedmont and Wellstar health systems each employ the equivalent of more than 20,000 full-time staff in metro Atlanta, by the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s count. An independent clinic will not outspend them. Its pages compete on detail instead: one treatment per page, the practitioner named and a neighborhood close by.

- Georgia rule: Section 43-1-33
- Also: Cosmetic laser licenses, Composite Medical Board
- Services: Med spa SEO, Google Ads, booking pages

### Roofing

Our roofing SEO, storm pages and Google Ads for Atlanta roofers cover tree strikes as well as wind, and never offer to handle a claim. Helene, the September 2024 hurricane, brought 6 to 14 inches of rain to north and central Georgia and downed millions of trees. The National Weather Service reported that most structures damaged or destroyed there were hit by falling trees. So an Atlanta roofer’s storm pages should cover tree strikes, not only wind.

Section 10-1-393.12 bars a residential roofing contractor from representing or negotiating for a homeowner on a roof insurance claim, or from offering or advertising to do so. Licensed public adjusters are the exception. So the ads sell the inspection, the documentation and the roof, never “we handle your claim”.

- Georgia rule: Section 10-1-393.12
- Storm: Helene, September 2024
- Services: Roofing SEO, storm pages, Google Ads

### Property management

Atlanta property managers get a website from us, and we rewrite their tenant FAQs, owner pages and listings to match Georgia’s 2024 Safe at Home Act. Georgia’s Safe at Home Act applies to residential leases entered into or renewed on or after July 1, 2024. Each of those leases now counts as promising a home fit to live in, and security deposits are capped at two months’ rent.

Before filing to evict over unpaid rent or charges, a landlord must give notice to pay or leave within three business days. The notice is posted on the door in a sealed envelope and also delivered by any other method the lease names. Tenant FAQs and owner pages written before the Act may still describe the old rules, so we rewrite them along with the listing pages.

- Georgia law: Safe at Home Act (HB 404, 2024)
- Deposits: Capped at two months’ rent
- Our build: Property manager’s website

### Real estate

Atlanta brokerages get listing, area and near-me pages from us, each showing the firm’s name and phone number as Georgia’s commission requires. Georgia Real Estate Commission rule 520-1-.09 says a licensee’s online ads for property for sale or rent must show the firm’s name and phone number on every viewable page. A message limited in length, or an outside site whose terms prevent it, must link directly to a page that shows them.

The same rule gives a licensee 30 days to update or remove outdated information on its site. So a sold or leased listing has to be marked as such or taken down within that time. Our pages are quick to update, and we run the posts and ads that send buyers to them.

- Georgia rule: GREC Rule 520-1-.09
- Our client: Real estate agency, Sint Maarten
- Result: Clicks 1,545 to 2,478, July to September 2026 against 2025

## How to choose the best digital marketing agency in Atlanta

Put these questions to any SEO, web design or ads agency on your list, us included. An agency that knows the market will answer with Georgia rules and metro Atlanta place names. One that does not will give the answer it gives everywhere.

1. **Ask who owns the accounts.** If an agency set up your Google Ads account, Business Profile, analytics or domain, check that each one is registered to your business.
2. **Ask a Georgia question.** Anyone pitching a med spa should know what section 43-1-33 requires of an ad by a nurse or physician. Anyone pitching a roofer should know what section 10-1-393.12 says about insurance claims.
3. **Ask which counties they would start with.** Unincorporated Gwinnett and the cities of north Fulton call for different pages. An agency that proposes one plan for “all of metro Atlanta” has not looked at the map.
4. **Judge reviews by their detail.** Useful reviews name the work that was done and what changed after it.
5. **Ask what the agreement covers and how either side ends it.** Get both in writing before any work begins.

## Your Atlanta questions, answered

### Do you have an office in Atlanta?

No. We work remotely, inside accounts you own: your Google Ads, Business Profile, Search Console and website. You can see every change we make.

### Do you work in Sandy Springs, Marietta and Gwinnett County too?

Yes. Sandy Springs and Marietta are cities, so each gets its own page, a place in your service areas and its own ad targeting. Most Gwinnett residents live outside any city, so there we name the county and the communities you cover. One page for the whole metro cannot do that.

### Should a Buckhead business target Buckhead or Atlanta?

Both. Buckhead is part of the City of Atlanta, not a separate city, so the business is an Atlanta business with a Buckhead page. People also search the neighborhood by name, as in “med spa buckhead”.

### Do you offer ADA compliance work for Atlanta websites?

Yes. We audit the site against WCAG 2.2 at level AA, then fix the failures: color contrast, image descriptions, keyboard access, focus order, form labels and captions. A second pass with a keyboard and a screen reader checks the fixes. We never install overlay widgets. The work is technical, not legal advice, and nobody can guarantee that a site will not be sued.

### What does Georgia require when a med spa ad names a provider?

Under section 43-1-33, an ad by a covered practitioner, such as a physician, physician assistant or nurse, must include their name and disclose only their type of license. The law defines an ad broadly enough that a web page or social post naming the practitioner can count.

### Can a Georgia roofer advertise that it handles homeowners’ insurance claims?

No. Under section 10-1-393.12, a residential roofing contractor may not represent or negotiate for a homeowner on a roof insurance claim, or offer or advertise to do so. The law exempts licensed public adjusters. The ads can offer a documented inspection and the roof itself.
