# Live Availability Websites

Apartment website design with floor plans and pricing from your software

Apartment website design with live availability means a community's website shows open units, floor plans and pricing from its property management software, so nobody has to retype them. Kihan Marketing builds these sites. On AppFolio, our own WordPress plugin, [AppFolio Listings Pro](https://kihanmarketing.com/property-management-marketing/appfolio-listings-pro/), draws the listings in your design.

## How does live availability get onto an apartment website?

Your software stays the source. On AppFolio, the plugin requests your public listings on the server, reads the rent, beds, baths, photos, availability and apply links, and draws them as your site's own markup.

No API credentials are involved, nothing changes in AppFolio, and your leasing team keeps working where it already works. Other platforms share their listings differently, and our page on [property management software integrations](https://kihanmarketing.com/property-management-marketing/property-management-software-integrations/) sets out each one.

## How current is the availability?

Listings are cached for a number of minutes you set. When a unit leases, it leaves your site on the plugin's next fetch. If AppFolio does not answer, the last good copy stays up instead of an error.

## Why keep availability on your own domain?

A listing widget keeps the listings on the platform's domain. Drawn on your own pages, every open unit sits on your site, in your design, where a renter who searched for your building has already landed.

It also protects trust. Out-of-date availability sends a renter to tour a unit that has already leased, so it needs a clear source, not a page someone remembers to edit.

## Which property management software works with it?

Our first-hand work is on AppFolio. We can also integrate a website with Buildium, Rentvine, Propertyware, Rent Manager, Entrata, RealPage, RentCafe (Yardi), ShowMojo, Tenant Turner and DoorLoop, where how the build goes depends on what each platform shares.

## Where it runs

The plugin runs on [a Seattle property manager's site](https://kihanmarketing.com/projects/pacific-crest-real-estate/), rebuilt from five pages to more than 250, where every managed property has a page with its live availability listing. It also runs on a Western Washington apartment management company's site and on the community websites of both.

The rest of our apartment work is on [multifamily website design](https://kihanmarketing.com/multifamily-marketing/multifamily-website-design/).

## Questions about live availability on apartment websites

### Do you build apartment websites with live AppFolio availability?

Yes. Kihan Marketing builds apartment community websites that show availability, floor plans and pricing from AppFolio through Listings Pro, our WordPress plugin. Each community keeps its own brand and design, and availability stays connected to AppFolio.

### Does it need an AppFolio API key?

No. You enter your AppFolio base address, the one your public listings page lives on. No API credentials are involved.

### Can each community keep its own design?

Yes. Each community gets a look of its own on a shared site system, and the plugin draws its listings in that design.

### How long does an apartment website take?

A community website goes live 5 business days after your prep is in. A property management company site goes live in 10.

### How much does it cost?

A community website is $3,600, paid in four monthly parts, and AppFolio listings through Listings Pro are included. The [full price list](https://kihanmarketing.com/pricing/#price-pm-web) compares every plan.
