What a dental website has to answer
Price, or the range and what moves it
Patients search for this before anything else, and many practices leave it unanswered. Publish a range for implants, crowns and aligners. You lose the patients who were never going to afford it, and win the ones who were. Hide it, and you lose both kinds to the practice that did publish.
Insurance, plainly
Which plans you take. What happens if a patient's plan is out of network. Whether there is a membership option for people without insurance. This one page prevents many of the calls that end in a no.
Who will actually do the work
Each provider with credentials, years in practice and the procedures they focus on. Add a photo that looks like the person the patient will meet. Dental pages are health content. Google's guidance for health content asks who wrote it and why they are qualified, so named, visible expertise helps. It is also part of how patients come to trust a practice.
A page per treatment
Not one services page listing fifteen procedures. Give each treatment the practice wants more of its own page. Each page covers what the treatment is, what it costs and how long it takes. It says how many visits it needs and what recovery looks like. This is also the structure dental SEO needs, which is why the two are planned together.
Evidence, especially for cosmetic work
Before and after images of real cases, with consent. For veneers, aligners and implants, this is the difference between a page that informs and a page that convinces.
Booking that works at 9pm on a phone
Online booking connected to the practice management software. A phone number that dials when tapped. And a short form for the patients who won't call. Many dental searches happen outside opening hours. A contact form that goes unanswered until Monday is a lost patient.
What usually goes wrong
The emergency patient is not served
Someone in pain needs a phone number and today's openings at the top of the screen, not a tour of the practice philosophy.
The site cannot grow
A practice adding implants or aligners next year needs to add a page, not rebuild the site.
Forms ask too much
A twelve field intake form before a first conversation wins fewer patients than a name, a phone number and a sentence.
Nothing is measurable
No call tracking and no booking events, so nobody can say which pages bring in patients.
Stock photography throughout
Patients recognize it. It undercuts the trust the credentials were meant to build.

How the build runs
Discovery
We look at the procedures, the providers and the insurance position. We ask which patients the practice wants more of, and which treatments are worth their own page. The page list is set here, so the site is designed around what it will one day hold.
Structure
URLs, the links between pages, and the treatment page template. Plus structured data for the practice and its services: code that tells search engines what each page is about. Getting this right early lets the site grow later without a rebuild.
Design and build
Treatment pages, provider bios, insurance and payment, and booking built in. Plus a path for the emergency patient that skips everything else. It is built to be fast on a phone, not to impress in a desktop review.
Content and launch
Real photos where possible, and before and after galleries with consent. Then launch, with tracking in place from day one.
Design and search are the same project
A dental website that ranks but doesn't book patients wastes the rankings. One that books patients but can't be found has nobody to book. Any dental website design agency that quotes without asking which pages you need is quoting for a brochure.
You may not need a new site. Can Google read the current one? Can it hold a page per treatment? Can the practice edit it? If so, it is usually cheaper to keep it and do the search work on it. A rebuild makes sense when the site can't do those three things. It also makes sense when patients reach the booking step and stop.
Questions dentists ask about websites
How much does a dental website cost?
The cost of a dental website depends on what it has to hold and connect. The main drivers are the number of treatment pages and providers, booking tied to the practice management software, and who supplies photos and copy. Our pricing page explains what moves the cost of dental website design services, and a free audit shows where to start.
Does a practice need a custom dental website?
A practice does not always need a custom dental website. What matters is whether the site can hold a page per treatment, show providers and insurance clearly, book on a phone and grow without a rebuild. A template that does all of that can work. A site that can't do those things needs replacing, custom or not.
How long does it take to build a dental website?
The time it takes to build a dental website depends mostly on content and decisions, not code. Provider bios, insurance details, real photos and consented before and after images all have to be ready. Booking has to connect to the practice software and be tested on a phone. A practice with these ready moves much faster.
How does a website help market a dental office?
A website is where most dental marketing lands, so it decides whether searches and ads turn into booked patients. Good dentist website design answers price, insurance, who does the work and when the patient can come in. It gives each treatment its own page for dental SEO, and it tracks calls and bookings from the first day.
