Each platform shares its listings differently. Some publish a public listings page. Some offer an API. Some send a feed only to approved vendors. That decides how the build goes, so this page sets out what we know about each one.
Our first-hand work is on AppFolio. For the other platforms, this page describes what we can build and what each vendor documents, not past client work.
How does a property management website get listings from the software?
A website gets listings from property management software in one of four ways. The software may publish a public listings page. It may expose an API. It may send a feed to approved partners. Or the vendor may supply an embed. Each trades control against effort, and the platform decides which are open to you.
Public listings page
The page the software already publishes. We read it and draw the units in your design, with a page per unit. It depends on that page staying readable.
API
A documented way to request units and rents. It gives the most control over what is shown. Watch for keys, plan limits and vendor rules.
Partner feed
Data sent to approved vendors, often on a schedule such as hourly. It needs a vendor agreement.
Embed or iframe
A box of the vendor's page inside yours. It is quick and always current. The listings credit the vendor's domain, not yours, and the look is fixed.
An embed is the fastest start and the weakest for search. Our guide to showing AppFolio listings on WordPress compares the three main ways on one platform.
What does Kihan Marketing build around the software?
Kihan Marketing builds the public site and leaves the software alone. The same pieces come with every platform. You get a page for every managed property, owner pages, lead forms, structured data and a listings block that stays current. Your leasing team keeps working in the software. Applications stay in its own flow.
Property management website integration is the same job on every platform. Only the source of the data changes. The sections below say how listings can reach a website on each one.
AppFolio
AppFolio Property Manager is a property management platform from AppFolio, and it is the platform we know best. Each AppFolio account publishes a public listings page. Our WordPress plugin, AppFolio Listings Pro, reads those public listings on the server. It draws them as your own cards, filters and map, with a page for every unit. It needs no AppFolio API key and writes nothing back.
AppFolio also has two API routes. Its Stack API is for software partners who apply through AppFolio. Its Database API is switched on by the customer. A Next.js site cannot run the plugin. It uses a custom build instead.
This is the one platform where we have client work to show. A Seattle property manager's five-page AppFolio site became more than 250 pages. Read websites for AppFolio managers for the rebuild.
RentCafe and Yardi
RentCafe is the online marketing platform from Yardi, and its websites sit beside Yardi Voyager or Yardi Breeze. Yardi says its sites can be corporate or per community, from themes or custom. It says leads enter Voyager as guest cards. What is true only here is the access model: Yardi announced a RentCafe API program, APIv2, in October 2023. Integrators describe it as partner-gated. They say it covers availability, pricing, leads and tours.
Voyager also has an ILS and guest card interface. Yardi says it passes unit availability, pricing, floor plans and amenities to vendors for their websites. We build the website around whichever route your account has. The full explanation, with a rebuild outline, is on RentCafe and Yardi websites.
Buildium
Buildium is a property management platform with an Open API at developer.buildium.com, reached at api.buildium.com. It signs requests with a client ID and secret. Which endpoints an account can use depends on its Buildium subscription, so we check that first.
Buildium also publishes rental listings on a listings site of its own. ShowMojo says its gallery embed code can go into a Buildium website. We choose between the API and the listings page based on your plan and the fields you want to show.
Rentvine
Rentvine is a property management platform with an API. An integrator's guide says it uses a key and a secret on an account-specific address, such as your-account-code.rentvine.com. Integrators point to docs.rentvine.com as its public API reference. Rentvine also offers its own property widget and websites. Its help center says those carry a schedule-a-showing button when Tenant Turner is connected.
Rentvine syncs listing data one way to ShowMojo, including photos, amenities, unit details and showing agent information. A custom site can draw units from the API and keep the showing links from those tools. We confirm with you which listing fields your account exposes before we design the cards.
Propertyware
Propertyware is a property management platform. It has a REST API with OpenAPI documentation at app.propertyware.com/pw/apidocs, using a client ID and secret. An integration provider also notes an older SOAP API that is more comprehensive than the REST one.
We did not find a documented public vacancy feed for Propertyware, so we do not assume one. A build starts by checking which units and fields the REST or SOAP API returns for your account. If a vacancy field is missing, we plan around a feed or an export instead.
Rent Manager
Rent Manager is a property management platform. Its Web API, called WAPI12, is RESTful. It gives read and write access to the Rent Manager Online database. Its technical documentation is a PDF, and it describes an embed query parameter that pulls related records in one request. A third-party review says the customer must enable the API and create tokens. Software vendors may need to enroll in a program.
That customer-side switch matters for a website: your own administrator can set up access, without waiting for a vendor. We read units, rents and open dates from the API. We cache them on a schedule you set.
Entrata
Entrata is a property management platform for multifamily, and it documents its listing methods in public. Its developer pages at docs.entrata.com describe a getUnitsAvailabilityAndPricing method that needs only a property ID. It can filter by floor plan, unit type or unit. It can return open units only, skip pricing, and search by move-in dates.
Entrata also documents getMitsPropertyUnits, which returns property, floor plan, unit, availability and pricing data in its Property Marketing 3.0 format. Another method honors Entrata's Max Available Units per Floor Plan setting. That means a website can show fewer units per plan than exist. We set our caching around those methods. Your Entrata contact confirms the credentials.
RealPage
RealPage OneSite is a property management platform from RealPage. We found no public developer portal for it. Third-party sources say RealPage runs partner integrations through its RPX marketplace, under contract. One integrator describes two connection modes, RPX and SDE. SDE also needs the OneSite address and a manager's login.
A RealPage integration starts with a talk with your RealPage rep about which interface your account can use. We build the site to read from that interface. We do not rely on unofficial wrappers.
ShowMojo
ShowMojo is a showing and leasing tool that sits beside your management software, not a replacement for it. Its Listings Import API takes listings in: you POST to showmojo.com/api/v1/listings with basic authentication or a token. For your website, ShowMojo supplies an embedded listings gallery, copied as an iframe snippet from its Gallery and Branding page.
ShowMojo's help center says its newer mobile-first gallery needs new embed code. SEO integration must be set up again after the swap. It also advises turning off AppFolio syndication, because it would duplicate ShowMojo's. We rebuild the website templates ShowMojo ships and place its gallery, scheduling links and tracking inside pages of your own.
Tenant Turner
Tenant Turner is a showing scheduling tool, so a website uses it for what happens after a renter finds a unit. It takes listings from the management software and sends qualified leads a text with a scheduling link. Its help pages and partners describe links with Rentvine, TenantCloud, Rentec Direct, Buildium and, since a 2024 partnership, AppFolio.
For a website, that means the schedule-a-showing button and link on each unit page. We place them where the renter decides, and we track which page the booking came from.
DoorLoop
DoorLoop is a property management platform with an API reference at api.doorloop.com, covering your account's data. DoorLoop support says it cannot map API calls or write API requests for you, so a website build needs a developer. An unofficial WordPress plugin, Better Listings for Rent, shows DoorLoop listings with a shortcode. Its notes say the old iframe method gives no control over styling or SEO.
We did not verify a listings endpoint in DoorLoop's reference, so a build begins by checking what your account returns. If you use the plugin route, the page still needs owner pages and structured data around it.
Other software
If your software is not listed, such as Rentec Direct, TenantCloud or TurboTenant, the same process applies. We find out whether it has a public listings page, an API, a partner feed or an embed. Then we build on the one open to you. To integrate property management software with your website, ask first. A vendor's support team can tell you in one email what your plan includes.
Frequently asked questions
Can you integrate my website with Buildium?
Yes. Kihan Marketing can integrate a website with Buildium listings through its Open API or its public listings page. The API uses a client ID and secret, and what it returns depends on your Buildium subscription. We check which route your plan allows, then draw the units in your own design.
Can you integrate my website with Yardi or RentCafe?
Yes. The route depends on your Yardi account. It may be the RentCafe API or the Voyager listing interface. Yardi controls both. We confirm which one you have, then build the site around it. The details are on RentCafe and Yardi websites.
Can you integrate my website with Rentvine or Propertyware?
Yes. Both offer an API that uses keys. Propertyware publishes its reference at app.propertyware.com/pw/apidocs, and integrators point to docs.rentvine.com for Rentvine. We check which unit and listing fields your account returns before we design the cards, so the plan matches the data.
Does my website have to use my software's own template?
No. Most platforms offer a template site, but you can have a custom site on your own domain instead. The software keeps running leasing, rents and applications. The custom site adds a page for every property, owner pages and search structure that a template rarely provides.
Will my leasing team have to change how they work?
No. They keep working in the software they use today. Units, rents, open dates and applications stay there. The website reads from it. The only change is that the public pages follow your design instead of the template's.
Do you have clients on every platform listed here?
No. Our client work is on AppFolio, and we say so. We can integrate a website with the other platforms because their listings can reach a website. They do so through an API, a feed, a public page or an embed. For those, this page describes what we can build, not past jobs.
Will an iframe embed hurt my search results?
It can. An iframe keeps listings current, but the content belongs to the vendor's domain, not yours, and the styling is fixed. Pages built from the same data on your own domain can be found by renters. They search a building or a unit type. Both approaches can work, depending on your goals.
Who owns the integration afterward?
You do. The site, the domain and the accounts belong to your company. The keys the software issues stay in your name. We document how the listings reach the site, so anyone can maintain it.
