Most customers do some reading before they pick a business. A homeowner wants to know if a roof can be repaired or has to be replaced. An owner wants to know what a property manager actually does each month. Someone thinking about a treatment wants to know what it feels like. If your site answers those questions well, you are the business they met first. If it doesn't, a competitor's site does the teaching, and often gets the call.
What content marketing is, and what it isn't
Content marketing is publishing useful answers on your own site, so the people you want to reach find you while they are still deciding.
It isn't a quota
A set number of posts a month tells you how busy an agency is. It says nothing about whether anyone read them.
It isn't writing about everything
Google's guide to helpful content lists warning signs. One is producing lots of content on many different topics in the hope that some of it performs. We write about what your customers ask and what your business actually does.
It isn't a summary of other sites
A post that repeats the top five results adds nothing, and readers can tell. Yours should come from the jobs you have done and the questions you answer every week.
Where the topics come from
The best topics usually aren't clever. They are the questions your customers already ask you on the phone, at the door and in your inbox. Those questions get searched too, and most businesses never answer them on their site.
Your questions list
Tell us what customers ask you most. That list is often the first month of topics.
What people search
We check which of those questions people actually type into Google, and how they word them. The wording on the page should match theirs.
Who is reading
Many businesses talk to more than one kind of customer. For Red Roof Rentals, a property manager, we aimed social posts separately at owners, residents and vendors, because each group wanted something different. The same split works for pages on a site. Our social media page tells that story in full.
Where the reader goes next
Every piece is planned with a next step. A guide on roof repair points to the repair service page. A post on what a manager does points to the page that asks an owner to get in touch.
Planning this way also tells you what not to write. If no customer asks it and nobody searches it, it doesn't need a page.

What we make
We plan the pages, write them, link them into your site and follow what they do once they're live. These are the kinds of pages that come out of it.
Guides
Longer pages for questions people ask early, before they know which business they want. What a job involves, what to check first and what to ask before you hire.
Blog posts
Shorter answers to one question each. They suit seasonal questions and topics that change over the year.
Answer pages
One question per heading, answered in the first sentence. This is the format an AI assistant can lift and quote. Roofing 101 on the Driftwood Builders Roofing site is built this way, around the questions homeowners really ask.
Video turned into text
Driftwood also has more than 200 roofing videos inside its website. When a video is published, a roofing post is generated from it. The project page shows how it runs.
Project pages
A page for each finished job. Nobody else can publish a job you did, so no competitor can copy it.
Listing and service copy
Often written once, in a hurry, and never touched again. For KEO Management, another property manager, we went through the rental listing copy inside AppFolio, the software their listings run on.
You can read our own writing too. Two examples are our guide to which local SEO tools are worth paying for and our search benchmark for apartment websites.
How content and SEO work together
A good page that nobody can find does nothing, so we plan the writing and the SEO together. Each new guide gets links from the pages around it, and it links back to the service it supports. On large sites we use Kihan Internal Linker to keep those links up, so new pages don't sit alone. The technical side, including schema and AI search, is on our SEO services page.

Wei Landgraf: from one building to a whole island
Wei Landgraf sells property on Sint Maarten. The first version of the site was built to sell one development, Belair Plaza, and its Meta ads brought in 256 leads. But every lead was interest in one building, and a building sells out.
So phase two turned the site into a place to learn about the island. We added guide pages on buying property, visas, island updates and concierge services, with hub pages holding each topic together. Area pages and vacation rental listings went in alongside them. Someone planning a move runs dozens of searches over months, and only a few of them are about property for sale. The rest are about visas, where to live and what happens after they land.
Kihan Internal Linker wired the guides and hubs together, and our schema tooling described each page to search engines. Comparing the latest six months with the six before, clicks from Google more than doubled, from 215 to 523. Over 12 months, the site recorded 738 clicks at an average position of 10.2. Position is where a page sits in Google's results, and 10 is about the bottom of the first page. None of those pages goes out of date when a building sells.
How we measure it
Word count is not a result. Google's guide asks whether you write to a set length because you heard Google prefers one. Its answer: "No, we don't."
Is the page found?
For each page, we look at whether it shows up for the questions it was written to answer, where it ranks, and how many people click.
Does it lead anywhere?
A page that gets read and sends nobody to a service page, a call or a form has done half its job. We look at where readers go next.
Is it still true?
Prices, rules and services change. A page that was right last year can be wrong today. Changing the date without changing the page doesn't count.
Each month you get a summary of what the pages did, and a meeting to go through it.

Working with us
An engagement usually runs in three parts.
Audit
We start with the free marketing audit. It shows which searches your site already appears for, and the terms competitors rank for that you don't.
Topic plan
Your questions list and the search research become the plan: which pages come first, and where each one sends the reader next.
Pages, then the monthly review
Each page is written and linked into your site. Once it is live, we measure it the way the section above describes.
Kiran Dasgupta, our founder, leads every engagement and plans content, including how your pages show up in AI search. Atisam Elahi, our SEO strategist, works on content planning and the pages themselves. Najma Khan, our graphic designer, makes the graphics and writes about content marketing on our blog. Hannah Pepito, our project manager, keeps the work moving and checks it before it goes to you.
Everyone on the team writes for our own blog, and every post carries a team member's name, never just the company's.

Questions businesses ask about content marketing
What do content marketing services include?
Content marketing services usually include choosing topics, writing the pages and publishing them. Ours also link each page into your site and make sure search engines and AI assistants can read it. Every month you get a summary of what the pages did. The pages can be guides, blog posts, answer pages, project pages or listing and service copy.
How much do content marketing services cost?
The cost of content marketing depends on the work. How many pages, how much research each one needs, whether your site's structure needs fixing first, and whether graphics are needed all move it. Our pricing page explains how we get from a first call to a written scope and a price. The free marketing audit shows where your site stands first.
How long does content marketing take to work?
Content marketing usually takes months to show results, and no one can promise a date. A new page has to be found, read and trusted before it ranks. The timeline also depends on how many competitors answer the same questions. A few months of posts is the start of a body of work, not the result of one.
How often should a small business publish content?
Publish as often as you have something worth answering, at a pace you can keep. A steady pace usually does more than a burst of posts followed by months of silence. The number of real questions your customers ask is a good guide to how much there is to write. One strong guide, kept current, can do more than several thin posts on the same topic.
Is content marketing worth it for a small business?
Content marketing is worth it for a small business when customers research before they buy and ask the same questions again and again. Roofing, property management, real estate and med spa customers all do. It does less when every job is an emergency call or a referral. Nobody reads a guide while a pipe is bursting, though the same customer may read one before replacing a water heater.
What is the difference between content marketing and SEO?
SEO is about whether search engines can reach and understand your pages: the site's structure, speed, links and code. Content marketing is about what those pages say and who they are for. You can do SEO on a site with thin pages, and you can publish good content on a site Google can't read. Most businesses need both.
How do you choose a content marketing agency?
Ask to see pages the agency wrote and what happened after they went live, with the time window. Ask how they measure it: leads and rankings, or word counts and post counts. Ask who owns the content and the accounts, and how either side ends the agreement.
