A plan that ignores any of that gets you a busy dashboard and a quiet phone. So marketing for roofing companies is built around the radius and the calendar, not around a keyword list.
Roofing marketing, in detail
- Roofing SEORoofing SEO services: a page for every service and suburb, the Google Business Profile, project pages and technical SEO, with an Austin roofer as the case study.
- Roofing Website DesignProject galleries and licensing proof for homeowners on a phone, on a site that grew past 250 pages.
- Roofing Lead GenerationA pipeline of your own from ads and tracked calls, instead of shared leads sold to several contractors.

The three pieces, and why they are one program
Roofing SEO
Showing up in Google's free results for roof repair, roof replacement, storm damage and every suburb you drive to. This is the half that grows over time. It is also the only piece that brings in leads nobody else has bought.
Roofing website design
The site where all of that lands. Project galleries, proof of your license and warranty, and a quote request that works on a phone in a driveway.
Roofing lead generation
Roofing lead generation is paid search and Local Services Ads that bring calls while SEO is still catching up. It also covers the week after a hailstorm, when the calls have to come now.
Run separately, the pieces fight over the same budget. Run together, SEO lowers what paid ads have to carry. Paid ads cover the season while SEO is still building.

After a video is published
- PublishedA roofing video goes up on YouTube.
- Taken inThe Knowledge Center video library picks it up.
- WrittenA roofing post is generated from the video.
- IndexedKihan Schema and the Internal Linker run, then Kihan Indexer checks that Google has indexed it.
What the roofing account produced
The account is a roofer in Manchaca, Texas, serving Greater Austin. We started with SEO for one location. Then we added local SEO town by town. Then came SEO for the whole metro, with a full website build. The site grew from roughly 50 pages to more than 250. More than 40 of them now cover towns and neighborhoods in Central Texas.
The 12 months to August 2026
1,244,708 search impressions, 4,169 organic clicks and an average Google position of 21.9, in Google Search Console.
March to August 2026, against the six months before
Organic clicks in Google Search Console went from 1,491 to 2,671.
July to September 2026, against the same days in 2025
Organic clicks in Google Search Console more than doubled, from 1,076 to 2,203.
Since the SEO work began in January 2026
Monthly average position in Google Search Console: 27.0 in January, 14.6 in September.
These figures measure reach and coverage, not revenue. And they belong to one contractor in one metro.
One Austin page does not compete in Cedar Park.
What makes roofing different
Seasonality is real, and it is not an excuse
Storm months are won with paid ads and on Google Maps. Quiet months are won with content published long before them. If you only spend in season, you pay peak prices for everything.
The radius is the market
A homeowner in Round Rock and one in Manchaca type different things. They also see different local results, because Google weighs how close a business is to the person searching. One Austin page does not compete in Cedar Park.
Location pages need real material
Each one needs facts about that place: how old the homes are, which roof types are common, what storms do there, HOA rules and permit conditions. Google's spam policies name doorway abuse directly. That means pages built to rank for similar searches, with nothing different on each one. No local material, no page.
Proof of work outranks claims about work
Project pages that show finished roofs by neighborhood and material are the one kind of content a roofer owns outright.

The tools that run underneath
Kihan Marketing builds its own tools. Four of them ran on the roofing account above.
Kihan Indexer
Checks which new and updated pages Google has indexed, so none sits unnoticed.
Kihan Schema
Adds structured data across the site. That is code that tells search engines about the business, its services and the areas it serves.
Kihan SEO plugin
Handles on-page SEO across a large set of pages.
Kihan Internal Linker
Keeps the links between the site's own pages consistent, at a scale nobody can keep up by hand.
A plan that ignores any of that gets you a busy dashboard and a quiet phone.
Questions roofers ask about marketing
What is roofing marketing?
Roofing marketing is the work that gets a roofing company found and gets the phone to ring. It covers roofing SEO, the website and paid ads. Marketing for roofers works when it is built around the service radius and the storm calendar. That means planning for the busy weeks after a storm and the quiet months in between.
How do I market my roofing business?
Market a roofing business with three pieces that work as one program. Roofing SEO brings in leads nobody else has bought. The website turns those visits into quote requests. Paid ads cover storm weeks and the months before SEO catches up. Run apart, the three pieces fight over one budget. Run together, SEO lowers what paid ads have to carry.
How do you advertise a roofing company?
Advertise a roofing company on the searches people make when they have a problem today. Think roof repair, emergency roofer and storm damage. Google Ads and Local Services Ads reach those people. Send each ad to a page that matches the search, and track the calls. Ads can be switched on the morning after a hailstorm.
How do roofing companies get leads?
Roofing companies get leads in two ways. They buy shared leads, or they build a pipeline of their own. Bought leads arrive fast, but the same homeowner is often sold to several roofers. A pipeline built on SEO, a website that converts and paid search brings inquiries that go to one roofer alone.
How do I promote my roofing company?
Promote a roofing company with proof of finished work. Project pages that show real roofs by neighborhood and material are content no rival can copy. Photos of real jobs and steady, recent reviews on the Google Business Profile do the same work on the map. A roofing marketing company should build both, not just run ads.
What should I look for in a roofing marketing agency?
A good roofing marketing agency can show you a location page it has already written. That page should hold real facts about the town, not a template with the name swapped. Then find out whether the agency also sells shared leads to other roofers. If it does, it is working both sides of your market.
Where to start
If you already rank in some towns and want more of the map, start with roofing SEO. If leads come in but do not turn into jobs, start with roofing website design. If the phone needs to ring this month, start with roofing lead generation.
Not sure which one you are? A marketing audit will tell you. It reads your Google Search Console data instead of guessing.
